ABOUT THE VOCALIST
Corynn Latta is a vocalist from Oshkosh, WI, based in the Milwaukee area. Corynn has been performing from a very young age but found her love for jazz in high school. She began performing with small combos throughout Oshkosh learning more about the jazz scene and the art of being a performing musician.
Corynn now attends the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as an undergraduate student studying Versatile Vocal Performance. She has received numerous music scholarships from UW-Milwaukee and independent organizations to support her music studies and endeavors. Corynn specializes in vocal jazz performance, but also performs pop, rock, musical theatre, and classical repertoire. At UWM, she frequently collaborates with the UW-Milwaukee Jazz Ensemble as well as the Afro-Caribbean Jazz Orchestra as a lead vocalist.
Outside of the University, she has performed and worked with many notable musicians and organizations. In the summer of 2022, Corynn performed a solo show with the sixty-piece Racine Symphony Orchestra directed by Pasquale Laurino singing seventeen full arrangements of jazz standards - being the youngest vocal soloist to work with the Orchestra and programming the first Jazz Summer Pops concert in Racine Symphony Orchestra's 90+ year history. Corynn also performs regularly with the Lighthouse Big Band directed by Brad Curran in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, as well as other ensembles throughout Wisconsin.
